Is performed through two general groups of operations, classified intuitively into IN and OUT documents. The various functional departments process the documents “on-line” and therefore the management, at all its levels, can exercise efficiently its functions of controlling, planning and effective valorification of resources, as the system synthesizes all transactions into reports that help continuously to the decision making process—decisions that, more often than not, need to be taken quickly, due to the business environment becoming extremely competitive in most of the business areas. The stocks are managed “just in time” because the system evaluates them dynamically through the processing of the IN/OUT documents. The transactions can be identified at the item level, but also at the “type of product” level, which is the essential premise for the integration and control of the processes related to supplying and distribution. For domains specialized in “fresh-food” distribution, where the products have high rotation and can be stored only for short periods of time, the integration of the Stocks Management module and Storing Management module enables the efficient management of the short expiration dates, thereby reducing the company losses.
The stocks administration and planning are possible through instruments such as minimum/maximum stocks that can be configured at the company level, but also at the local level (workstations). As to the rotation of goods/stocks dynamics, the reports on “out-of-date” stocks in such domains as IT/communications/electronics, where the products are developing at a rapid pace, constitute instruments through which the stocks registration and classification are performed efficiently. The products are classified on several levels in a hierarchical structure: product type/group/ subgroup/brand/code/EAN code/description/size/color, etc.
The operative documents are conceived to cover activities of import and distribution or retail sale, all entrances being processed through operations of the type entrance-reception (intern, intra-community, import, etc).
The sale is registered through the issue of the OUT documents (invoices) that allow the correlation with multi-currency price-lists, through the option of invoicing in the foreign currency at the days official exchange rate (the system updates the rates automatically through on-line connection to the NBRs web-site). If the invoicing is integrated with the distribution module, it is possible to issue invoices based on the order (where the invoice constitutes a simple closing of the customer order and reflects the ordered products, the prices being aggregated at the registration of the order). The complete flow in the case of integrated utilization is <Offer>-><Order>-><Invoice of order>.
